IITD has joined with the African Center for Legal Excellence - International Law Institute Uganda (ILI) to develop a program to expand legal seminars ILI provides to the public and private sectors in sub-Sahara Africa.  Located in Kampala, ILI conducts capacity building seminars in widely diverse areas of the law.  Since 1998, these seminars have been attended by more than 5000 participants, representing more than 35 countries.  As regional needs and seminar demands continue to expand, the partners believe information and communications technologies (ICT) could play a significant role in broadening the reach of ILI’s work and aid significantly in the overall Development process.  The first demonstration is scheduled for June 2006.
